Successfully created a series of posters that captured the essence of Chinese traditional culture, effectively promoting the Hanfu show across various social media platforms including Instagram, Red Book, and WeChat Official Accounts. Focused on authentically representing Chinese Han culture in the designs while ensuring they were appealing and accessible to a diverse audience.

Client Needs

As a cultural company in Toronto, Yinuo Guofeng, Ltd. required promotional materials, primarily posters, for a Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) show, with a specific emphasis on ancient Chinese style and Han culture.

The Solution

Designed a variety of posters featuring elements of ancient Chinese style, appealing to both Chinese and Western audiences through bilingual (Chinese and English) promotional content.

My Role

Solely responsible for the design of the posters, collaborating with the project manager for content alignment and ensuring the designs fit the event's thematic requirements.

Challenges & Key Learnings

 The main challenge was to design in a way that respects and accurately represents traditional Chinese culture while appealing to a modern and international audience. Learned the importance of cultural sensitivity in design and effective cross-cultural communication.
